On April 12, the second popular science conference of the Chinese Acupuncture Society was held at the Hubei Provincial Invalids Hospital. The conference is themed "Disseminate innovative achievements of acupuncture and draw a blueprint for healthy China together", and builds a platform for academic discussions, experience sharing and popular science practice exchanges, and continues to write a new chapter in the development of popular science work of the Chinese Acupuncture Society. The conference was sponsored by the Chinese Acupuncture Society and hosted by Hubei Provincial Veterans Hospital, Hubei Provincial Acupuncture Society, and Hubei Shizhen Laboratory.

In his speech, Yang Longhui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Chinese Acupuncture Society, said that in recent years, he has learned to strengthen science popularization work, vigorously strengthen the construction of science popularization education bases, carry out rich and colorful science popularization activities, and continuously promote appropriate acupuncture technologies. He has successively appointed two teams of science popularization experts and experts to enhance the influence of acupuncture popularization through new media matrices such as the "Popular Science China" official account, and released the "2025 Science Popularization Project of the Chinese Acupuncture Society", demonstrating the unique value of acupuncture as the "pioneering force" of traditional Chinese medicine, and injecting cultural confidence genes into the construction of a healthy China. In the next step, the society will continue to make efforts to better promote the high-quality development of popular acupuncture science.

The event was awarded to outstanding organizational units and outstanding activities for the 2024 National Science Popularization Day. Hubei Provincial Warrior Hospital and Qujiang District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province were rated as "Excellent Organizational Unit for the 2024 National Science Popularization Day Activities" by the China Association for Science and Technology. The activities organized by Liangshan County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Shandong Province, Mingguang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Anhui Province, Beijing Elderly Hospital, China Traditional Chinese Medicine News Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Yuansheng Culture Communication Co., Ltd. were rated as "2024 National Science Popularization Day Excellent Activities" by the China Association for Science and Technology.
